Golden Excuses for not practising Yoga at home busted

Excuses Busted

1. I don’t have time.

There are times in life where you feel layed back and you don’t think you have time. But these are generally the times you need to practice the most. You don’t have to spend more than 10 minutes practicing. Set an alarm, do 10 minutes on your mat, and walk away.

2. I start, and then I don’t know what I am doing.

Self-practice is not about mimicking your teachers hour long session. Choose a short and digestible amount—be it your own short program of asanas or a something specific your teacher has set for you, and do 10 minutes.  It’s a physical thing, . Move. Feel and breathe. That is all.

 3. I can just go to a class.

Yes, you can, and classes are valuable. But the best part is when your teacher teaches you, and you practice. Through self-practice you digest what you have done in class, and meet and overcome new blockages..

4. I don’t get the same effect of self-practice as a class.

What motivates you about the class? Practicing in a space designated for classes is a real treat. Plus, you can really be energized and inspired by your fellow students.

5. It’s too hard.

Many of my clients come to me saying  Rajashri  Please this is too hard , it hurts , it aches  , we are not comng to the class for the next 2 days but my whole point is Nothing that is worth having in life comes easily. If it were easy, would you be so interested? So, go for it—you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Start your self-practice today!

Back from my sabbatical :Its all upon how you look at it baby!!!!!

I so wanted to be back on blog since a long time but was wondering what is the topic I should be covering in Yoga as the subject is so interesting and so huge . After my little baby Avantika was born and with the changes that women undergo physically and emotionally , thought to cover a little about this important topic on the blog as well as giving some important tips to all those women who feel that a Size Zero trend can do great for them in the recent times .
The Topic of Size Zero followed by the heroines and the generation Y lately shocked me when recently I went to meet across a very dear friend of mine , it was raining and  thought to meet up my old friend from my building for a cuppa chai and pakodas, but reluctance of my friend to have the adrak chai and pakodas shocked me , reason Pakodas are reason for putting on and tea would cause acidity.
Pheww!!!! I was so disappointed . I was wondering why are people really aware of things , before they come to any conclusions. During the rains , our immunity level  is very low and our body is prone to all the infections , adrak , that’s ginger helps fight infections along with food of trans fat oil , like a pakoda making body more resistant to diseases .
After delivery I was down physically and emotionally as your hormones play with you a bad game , trust me it still does , I kept on wondering how do I get out of this post delivery syndrome … that’s what I call it , when my trainer who is  in to power yoga now called me , she told me to just make it to one session to challenge myself again .With a baby on one side and a physically drained out body , I just kept thinking how the hell can I come out of this cobweb , and the negativity acting like a spider .
1 session of surya namaskar with a static and a dynamic position healed me , removed the entangled cobwebs , spread the power and warmth of sun god all over me ha ha from that time onwards  I just live yoga , I breath Yoga
